FROM THE SOUTH

Simply follow the A1 North until you pass the Newcastle Upon Tyne and the Metro Centre at Gateshead. A few miles further up the A1 you will come to signposts saying Cramlington / Ashington (A19)

Turn off the slip road onto the A19 and at the first roundabout go straight over. Follow the dual carriage until you reach the next roundabout where you will take the second exit on your left. (The first exit is very small going towards East Cramlington, you will have to take the next exit onto the A189 dual carriageway).

Follow the A189, passing signs for Cramlington/ Blyth until you reach the next roundabout.

At this roundabout you need to take right hand lane and turn right towards Newbiggin by-the Sea.

This road will take you all the way through Newbiggin on the B1334 and past the Sailing Club if you're not looking out!

Once you get towards the town centre, there will be a Left Hand turn onto the A187 towards Ashington, just after this turn off, there are car parking spaces to the left of the road, to the right there is shops including a butcher's and chippy. You then quickly come to a Pedestrian Crossing with Traffic lights. Our Club House is the three-storey building on the immediate right of the lights.

If you are taking part in an Open Meeting and are towing a boat you can turn right into the Piazzas and you will see a small ramp going up onto Newbiggin Promenade.

You are able to drive up here and drop you boat off, ready to rig later on, but you must take your car back down and park it on the street's parking bays.

FROM THE NORTH

Travel South along the A1 until you see signs for Morpeth. Turn off onto the Morpeth Slip road and follow the road into Morpeth Town Centre.

Once in the Town Centre bear left at the roundabout in the main town square with shops on both sides. You will pass a number of Pedestrian Crossings, with shops on both your left and right, including Woolworth's, WHS. Smith, Superdrug etc.

You will then reach a roundabout. At this roundabout you need to bear to the left, following signposts for Pegswood (stretch of straight road) and Ashington (A197). (Turning right will take you over a small bridge heading towards Newcastle).

Shortly after you will see sign posts for Pegswood, Ashington. Turn right at this junction along the A197 and follow this road, passing through a small town/village called Pegswood (Watch out for accident black spots coming through Pegswood). After Pegswood there is a long stretch off straight road which is 60mph. At the end of this road you will reach a large town called Ashington.

Carry on the road, passing a Jet Petrol Station and a Kwik Save to the left. At the first roundabout just after Kwik Save bear right onto the next roundabout then bear left passing rows of houses to the right and a Business Park on the left. At the next three roundabouts go straight ahead. At the third roundabout McDonalds will be on the left after the roundabout and an Asda will be on the right. Carry on past these on a stretch of 40mph road, you will pass a Peugeot garage to the left and a Lidl's store on the right.

You will reach another roundabout, follow the roundabout go straight ahead until you reach another round large roundabout. Turn left at this roundabout until you reach a small roundabout, which is sign posted left towards Alnwick. Go straight over and follow the road till you reach the first turning on your right signposted Newbiggin by the Sea. Follow this road all the way through Newbiggin until you reach the end at the T-junction.

Turn left at this junction. You then quickly come to a Pedestrian Crossing with Traffic lights. Our Club House is the three-storey building on the immediate right of the lights.
