OUR YOUTH SQUAD SECTION AT NEWBIGGIN BY THE SEA SAILING CLUB

Our cadets prefer to be referred to as the Youth Squad and they meet on a Saturday morning but we also encourage them to take part in all other sailing activities either as crew for other members or in the club boats. Currently the club is engaging on the RYA - VOLVO Championship Club programme and we will by the end of 2003 have 12 Toppers (with a road trailer for 6) and two 420's (training boat for the Olympic 470 class) for the use of our cadets. The cadets also have their own social programme and take part in other activities during the out of season period.
